Donna Francis Bio

Donna Francis has been singing since High School where she sang with a traveling musical ensemble. Prior to moving to the Villages, she was the lead vocalist for 10 years, singing great jazz standards with an 18-piece swing band around the Raleigh-Durham area.

She continues to sing here in the Villages with several groups. She first performed here at the Music Lover’s showcase in 2016, with her own group called Just Jazz. She currently is the lead vocalist with the Shades of Blue Octet, singing great big band standards. She also sings with The LaLiPoPs, a trio singing Andrew Sisters and McGuire Sisters hits.

And she’s no stranger to the stage, performing in many local community theater productions over the past 30 years. Since moving to the Villages in 2015, she has been in several theater productions. In 2018, she portrayed Elizabeth, Dr. Frankenstein’s fiancé in the hilarious musical “Young Frankenstein the Musical”, with K.C. Productions and “Muzzy”, The Village Musical Theater’s production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie”.
