Dave Monk Bio

There’s not much to me. I love oldies and singing them, whether as a solo or with a group. I got started
as a shy guy singing Elvis. My wife heard me singing in the car and got this crazy idea that she could
raise money for her non-profit if I did an Elvis show. It turned out to be a lot of fun and I got the
performing bug.

Later, I spent seven years in Barbershop, where I learned to sing harmony. Soon after we
moved to The Villages, we attended Doo Wop on the Porch. I thank Ron Vieira for taking a chance on
me and letting me sing at the Porch and Bobby V for giving me guidance and support for which I am most
appreciative.

Finally, I thank Denny Iwago for giving me a chance to sing in a group. It doesn’t get any
better than this!
