Bobby V(ignapiano)
I started singing on the street corners of Brooklyn in the mid 1960’s and after a few personnel and name changes our group called The Demolyrs were singing and playing together for over the next 20 years. I learned about singing and arranging while working for Ernie Maresca of Laurie Records as a session singer and guitar player. Ernie is best known for writing most of Dion DiMucci’s biggest hits such as The Wanderer, Runaround Sue and Lovers Who Wander just to name a few and of course his own big hit, Shout Shout Knock Yourself Out.
While working with Ernie my group recorded a song for United World Records which I wrote called Rain and we were honored to have Ernie write the B side Hey Little Rosie. We went on to record 3 more songs for United World Records but then Uncle Sam called and off we went to do our duty. We regrouped after our return and toured the tri-state area just as the “Oldie Revival” was kicking in and worked with such famous groups as The Platters, The Angels, The Regents, and the Shirelles before calling it quits in 1986.
I retired and moved here to The Villages and am enjoying my new career as a solo performer and continuing to do what I love the best…. singing and entertaining.

Upcoming Performances
Hi, I wanted to give you a head start in obtaining tickets for my 2nd Country Music show. The overwhelming response to last year’s country show and your requests to do another this year has not fallen on deaf ears. I have scheduled this year’s show on Jan. 9th starting at 6:30. It will be held in the Bacall recreation center which is a smaller center so seating is limited to approx. 112 people. I’m hopeful, like last year, that this show will be another sell out.
If you are interested please reply to this email to let me know a.s.a.p. (first come first serve) Tickets are $10.00 pp. It will be table seating so bring your favorite adult beverage and your salty snacks and don’t forget your Western wear!!
I hope to hear from you soon. As always I thank you for your support and if I do not see you before then please have a wonderful Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas and most importantly a “Healthy” New Year! Bobby “V”
Hi all, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a start to the “Holiday” season. And what better way to start the celebration than by attending a Blast from the Past show!!!! The first of the month is this Thursday and Tim, Donna and I will be waiting for you in the Moyer recreation center with bells on, (not really but it sounds nice doesn’t it?)
Doors open at 1:00 and the show starts at 1:30. We will be doing a few holiday songs to get you in the mood. No presents are required to get into this “free” show but if you want to bring along a friend or two we would consider that as a gift. Just remember to bring the Villages I.D. Hope to see you there!!! Bobby “V”
